Working On Our Spring Water Pipes in the Redwood Forest

Friday March 20, 2020 Guerneville CA.

Spring pipes

Today I planned to do some work on our spring pipes up in the hills.

I got the quad runner loaded with my tools and took off to this spot where I was going to do some work.quad

Bury the pipe

I need to bury the spring water pipe that goes across this road.trail

I didn’t need to get the pipe in deep, but just get it below the ground surface as there’s not much traffic here.

I got the shallow ditch dug.ditch

All buried

And got the pipe buried and now the pipe crossing the road looks like this.road

Worked on the pipe trail

After a break I worked on the pipe trail where the pipe goes down the hill to our water tanks. I mostly worked on leveling out the pipe so there were no ups and downs. I wanted a gentle slope down the hill with no ups and downs as the water doesn’t have much pressure, but is mostly gravity fed flowing down the hill.trail2

I walked on down through here where the pipe goes and leveled it out where I could. I have more work to do in this area.trail3

Tired out

That took most of the day and tired me out good.

I went on home from there for something to eat and a nap.

After that I went out and let the chickens out in the yard to graze and chair hopped around supervising them until it was getting dark.

After putting the chickens away I went in the house and that was my day.

Nice day working in the redwood forest. How’s that for isolation? :O)

Sounds pretty isolated to me, Bob! You’ve been busy and I’m assuming your weather is pretty decent for you to be out working.
    Stay healthy!
