Tried All Day to Get the Internet Extender to Work,….But No Go

Internet extender setup

I’ve been wanting to get connected to my brother’s much faster cable internet connection. He lives just across the creek from me so I should be able to do it.

I bought a Wi-Fi extender to do the trick, I thought.

Now I had to set it up so I got my phone and went over to his house to set it up.

Here’s the setup instructions that looked fairly easy to do,….But.

No go

It appeared to setup ok, but when I tried to connect to the internet through the extender it failed. I tried over and over all day trying different stuff and did some research on the internet but still no good.

Tried another one

I remembered I had an older extender out in the chicken house so I hunted it up to give it a try.

I had to research how to set this one up but still no go, so I took a break and went out into the yard and did some chair hopping and a few chores.

Fruits and berries

This plum tree is loaded with fruit and is just about ripe and ready to eat.

Lots of plums on that tree.

And this is another of one of my favorite plums I’ve been eating on. Yummy.

I also had a few blueberries.

And some strawberries.

Egg boxes

I put the eggs away for the day. This is about half of them.

I noticed the egg boxes could use some fresh shavings so I added some to each box.

Gate work

And this gate was dragging on the ground and wouldn’t open so I shoveled out some of the weeks so now it works just fine.

Back to the extender setup

I kept at the extender in the evening looking for ideas on the internet but still couldn’t get it to work. I’ll do some more research tonight and see if I can find out what I’m doing wrong.

Interesting enough, I can get my brother’s internet signal right outside the window about twenty feet from my computer but it won’t come inside.

His internet connection is over ten times faster than the one I have so I’ll keep working on it.
