Stump Removal, Dirt Bike No Start Problem and Forest Trail Work

Driveway greetings

I heard a tractor running this morning so I walked out the driveway to see what was going on.

Stump digging

I could see my brother Tom was digging out a tree stump with his backhoe.

He was digging out the stump as he’d bought some peach trees he wanted to plant along the fence there.

Later in the day, when I came back he still hadn’t gotten that stump out. They can be real stubborn to remove sometimes.

Dirt bike no start

I got the dirt bike out to see if I could figure out why the electric start button wouldn’t start the bike, most of the time. I checked out what I could but didn’t find the problem. I will have to do some research on where the neutral start switch is located as I think that is where the problem is.

Forest work

It would start occasionally so I got my gloves and tried to start it until it did and rode it on up into the forest to work on a trail.

Weather

Before I took off, I looked at the sky as we were supposed to get some rain showers today, sometime. The sky didn’t look too bad and I thought if it did shower, I’d just stand under a big tree until the shower was over, which I  had to do once when it hailed for a bit.

Trail walk

I walked out the old trail, headed up the hill to the work area.

And on up just above this big tree stump.

Headed for home

Around five, I was beat and headed back down the trail where the bike was parked and tried the start button but it didn’t’ work.

Bike won’t start

I pushed the button lots of times but it just wouldn’t start. A little push and the bike was headed down the hill where I started it on compression.

I stopped to talk to Tom about the stump. He was going to get the bulldozer out tomorrow to get that stump out.

Fresh oranges

He said he got some fresh oranges from my older brother’s place so I went to his house to get a half dozen of them
