Trying to stay out of the sun
I’ve been trying to stay out of the sun but not being very successful at it. But at least my sunburn is letting up a bit.
Chinese market first
So I figure if I go do some shopping and some visiting I’ll be mostly out of the sun. I headed on over to the Santa Rosa area and stopped at the Chinese market. I bought a bunch of roman type instant noodles which are wheat and a bunch of rice noodles when I don’t want to eat wheat just to test. I don’t think I have a problem with wheat but there is no way to tell for sure as lab testing is shaky at best.
Costco and Cash and Carry
From there I drove the short distance to Costco where I picked up a few more corn less items. The place was packed but I got out of there fairly fast.
Next up was Cash and Carry. A big bag of rice and a box of fresh frozen fish.
Shopped out so time to visit
By this time I was shopped out so I drove over to my friend Marty’s house where I found him out front working on his Jeep. He was ready for a break so we went in out of the sun and shot the bull for awhile.
Old paper back books
He loaned me a bunch of paperback books for my reading pleasure. Books I’d read before in my youth, so I figure they might be interesting to read with a more mature mind.
I left just before five before the traffic got any worse.
I put all the stuff away when I got home and that was it, I took it easy the rest of the day.
I’ve never known Costco to NOT be busy, which is a good thing for the business I guess. We are usually in and out very quickly, Bill even quicker than I. We love getting much of our dairy there when we are able to and bulk products.
