Puttering Around the Yard and Doing Some Trip Planning for the Great Divide Trip

Saturday July 8, 2017 Guerneville CA.

Seemed like a good day to putter

Today I spent puttering around the yard a bit doing some watering and trimming stuff here and there.

Prepping the van

I also spent a good deal of time getting stuff into the van for my upcoming trip on the Continental Divide which is coming up fast. I still have to grease the van and check some fluids, but mostly I need to get the right stuff into the van that I might need for the trip.

Planning for the trip

Later in the day as it warmed up too much to get much accomplished outside, I retreated inside and started studying maps to make plans to meat the guys in Eureka Montana in about a week for the Divide trip. We’ll all be doing our thing and will meet in Eureka on the 24th to start that adventure.

I got some weeds mowed too

As the day cooled down I gassed up the weed mower and mowed some weeds and then spent the rest of the day chair hopping and doing more planning for the trip.

Trip consulting

In the evening I called Marty who is also going on this trip to discuss how and where we will meet in Montana. I think we have it mostly figured out and are mostly about ready to go.

That was my day.
