Finishing Up the New Garden Enclosure and Moving Tree Mulch

Tuesday May 1, 2018 Guerneville CA.

More garden enclosure work

One more day working on the garden enclosure and I should have it finished so I got to work.

I started out putting the chicken wire onto two of the rebar roof panels which are my  last two panels for this enclosure. It took me most of the day to attach the wire to the two panels.panel1

Putting up the roof panels

Once I had the wire attached to the two panels I installed them on the enclosure hooking the panels together with steel wire.roof2

Here’s the new garden enclosure. It’s almost but not quite finished.garden3

Anti-dig wire

I still need to bury the anti-dig wire in the ground. I’ve just dug the ditch and I will bend the wire down and cover it back up with dirt.wire4

That piece is done and covered back up.dirt5

Next I worked on burying the wire on the backside.wire6

I eventually got all the wire buried so that job was done.

Hauling tree mulch

It was getting close to dark as I hauled several loads of tree leaf mulch to the new garden area.mulch7

I would of hauled more mulch, but it got to dark so I went on in the house for the day and that was my day. I still have two more enclosures like that one to build to complete this project.

Nice day.

Wow, it is huge! Remind me what critters you are fencing against? Something that digs, obviously but birds too? You’ve done an awesome job and only 2 more to go? Your garden will be wonderful!
