What to do today
It poured last night, but by the time I got it going it was mostly showers.
What shall I to do today? Too windy and showery to go kayaking, so I went out in the yard and thought about it, maybe Monte Rio as the wind is less, but it was supposed to shower too.
This is as good a place as any to spend the day
While sitting in the yard thinking on it, I took the easy way out and decided to stay home and work on the garden.
I needed to move two blue berry bushes to make room to walk around the enclosure, so I got the shovel out and dug up this bush and moved it a couple feet to the right.
Once I moved that one, I could get in the gate and get by the bush. I had one on the other side I had to do the same thing to.
Mulch dirt
Next I got the wheelbarrow and moved a few more loads of mulch dirt into the garden to complete filling up the sides and then I started moving the forest leaves on top of the dirt, also known as forest mulch.
I got this side done.
And then got this side done too.
Potatoes as a bonus
During the process I dug up a bunch of potatoes that had been growing here during the winter and got a half bucket of them.
And strawberry plants
I also transplanted some strawberry plants to better spots in the garden.
It looked like it was going to shower during the day, but it didn’t. The day did cool down early in the evening so I went in early and that was my day.
