Nest box repair
I’ve noticed this chicken nest perch was out of kilter and needs some repairs before the chickens break it off.
So I got the screw driver out and made some adjustments and tightened it all up so now it looks like this.
Old well work and eating goodies
After that I did some work on getting the sediment out of the old well for a couple hours until my back said to quit so I had a nice break chair hopping around the yard eating cherries and berries.
Weed mowing
Late in the day I got the weed mower out and put some fuel in it to do some work with it.
These weeds in the backyard are getting pretty high and need to be cut so I started with that.
And then I mowed all these weeds down too and it was time for another break to give my back a rest.
Momma hens
I pulled a few weeds to give to the momma chickens that don’t get to go outside as their chicks are still too small yet.
This machine works good for this kind of stuff
And the last thing I did today was to use the weed mower to mow under these apple trees where a lot of poison oak was growing and some blackberry vines too.
