An Apricot, Blackberries, Some Van Work and Taking It Easy

Friday July 7, 2017 Guerneville CA.

Mostly a take it easy day

I was planning to kayak Monte Rio after I visited a friend in Monte Rio. But after visiting and shooting the bull for a couple hours I felt like a nap was in order, so headed on home, but stopped to visit with Ray who lives down the road from me.

After shooting the bull with Ray for an hour or so, I did get on home for that nap.

After that it was fairly warm outside so I did some chair hopping until the day started cooling down.

Tidied up the winch controls

I then worked on putting the van’s electric winch controls all back together and tidied up putting the tools away. The winch still doesn’t work and I will have to eventually drop the winch and take it apart to fix it, but right now I don’t feel like doing that as I hope not to need it.powerbox

I beat the critters to this one

I’ve been keeping my eye on this apricot as it’s the only one on my trees and I wanted it before the critters got it. The problem is getting the cot ripe without the critters eating it before I got it. This one ripened about perfect. Yumm.apricot

I was also fortunate to stumble on these wild black berries by that apricot tree. I ate about a pies worth. More yummms.blackberry

That was pretty  much my day, just taking it easy.

Yum, freshly picked apricot and blackberries! Don’t ask me to pick a whole row of berries but I like finding them like that too.
I picked my little tomato for basically the same reason, before the birds got it.
